Untitled

10am summer breeze

The earth between feet

Love on the run

Chaotic chemistry

We are one

11am summer breeze

The flower between trees

No distance between stars

Fireworks elated on Mars

We are Free

God

God created water

God created earth

God created sun

God created dirt

God created his children

God created perfection

Born in truth

God created you

Saturday

Smile in the evening

Smile in the morning

Smile under the midnight sky

Smile for new beginnings

Smile for energy soaring

Smile for the enlightened mind

Neighborhood

Come to my neighborhood

Build a Coffee shop and you don’t invite me

We bring down the property value

A yoga studio go up

A smoothie shop too

The mom and pop soul food restaurant is gone now

The old movie theatre is a mere memory of youth

The house I grew up in

Has been torn down a shopping mall now sits on that land

Clean up the streets they say

My ancestors built these streets

Stolen from their land to build your America

Now you want my neighborhood too

In search of an exquisite image

The picture of my neighborhood may not be perfect but it is real

Empathy

Ceasefire, please

Babies are dying

Ceasefire, please

Humanity has fallen

This is a genocide disguised as war

Blindfolded government

Hands hidden in shame

Empathy!!!

the purest form of humanity

Praying for peace

Scripts

Celebrate, I am determined to believe

Life has been no tragic tale

Grab confetti ignore every FEAR

Celebrate, I am determined to believe

Reimagining dims sorrow, changing scripts

Lessens despair

Grab confetti ignore every TEAR

Grateful

calm skies after a hurricane

earth beneath bare feet

light beaming down upon youth

rebellion on a Sunday morning

God’s mercy and grace

children remain grateful

adults continue running wild

angels are in disarray

ghosts keep reminiscing

Flames

Cherish life

Give water

Blinded awakening

Starved roots

Reminiscent of youth

Starved legacy

Regret has open arms

storm and calm

radical and conformist

five star dinner and midnight picnic

Both sides

Venom tears cried

Mistakes made driving backwards

Time does not wait he is unruly

Regret when curtains closed

Colors that never made it to the canvas

A flower that bloomed into flames
